As of November 12, 2010, 10:52 PM, Maikeru(kun) and Kyakimochi were terminated.
I will write a formal goodbye when I have time.

Yep.
Yes, I have decided to quit FFXI.
The epic of Maikeru will come to an end very soon. I stopped playing about 4 months ago, and I really don't miss it. Oh sure, I feel the pangs of lost friendship, but that's about it. Now that the game is into overdrive, I have no motivation to even try. More importantly, I have gone back to school and I will not have time anyway.
I have already given about half my wealth away to Miasama and the random masses. I'm yet to decide how I will give away the rest. I'm trying to sell the more expensive items as gil is easier to divide. But really, I'm giving almost everything to Nightfall therefore gil will be easier for her to give away in my place.
I often consider about having one last fling, one last mission, one last party. I'm sure if I asked my cohorts, they would, without hesitation, indulge my real final fantasy of exploring Vana'diel. As of right now, I have not decided. But if I did have to decide now, I would probably like a final picture with everyone I love either at Bearclaw Pinnacle or Full Moon Mountain. Although getting to Fenrir is much easier, the snow is much prettier in my opinion.
Decisions aside, I have also considered and decided against making a farewell video. My timestamp in FFXI is merely that. Rendering a montage will only well up false emotions of being missed when in reality I am not except by a select few. Should I make a video for those select few? No. They already know I miss them as well. So therefore, it makes very little logical sense to make any effort for a media-friendly goodbye except for self-gratification. I do that enough in my spare time. (Did I just make a tmi admission? lol)
Tomorrow is another day when I get to think about my first steps into this online fantasy and final steps back into real life.

New Direction Blah Blah Blah...
Same 'ol news. Stuff happens, things change. In my case, things have been changing rapidly and every day brings new experiences. Every week my life goes in a different direction. My heading keeps changing based on what gets thrown at me.
But anyway.
I have yet to decide my FFXI future. Maikeru is gone. Maikerukun is here, and I'm still not used to it.
I haven't even played FFXIV yet. WTF?!
And I kinda... moved out and moved into an apartment with Kya. So... ya...
Oh and Monster Hunter Tri has taken whatever time I have left for myself.
So... I think we will be creating new blogs soon. HAH! More work, I'm crazy. But I really want to do this. I really want to be able to blog everyday and post pictures everyday. So...
This blog will either stay as is (35%), change into a "gaming blog" (50%), or be terminated due to me quitting FFXI (whatever % is left over). I will be creating 1-3 other blogs. The first will be my everyday blog. This is where it gets tricky. If I quit FFXI, I will most likely create a MH3 blog... but like I said, might just be a gaming blog. Also based on my lifestyle and the goals I want to accomplish, I will create supplemental blogs based on personal fitness, art (music and photography), and possibly a... well, I won't share that one for now. The last will be a very, very small chance. Kya suggested it, and I kind of don't want to do it because I don't explore my options within that... thing. And also I've gotten in trouble for having an opinion online before. I don't need another catholic school banning me... ok, nevermind.
Anyway, I need to continue cleaning up my life and apartment. I'll post what I decide soon. Maybe next week.

Tired! Why am I awake?!
ALA MOANA CROCS GRAND OPENING! Friday, April 9th, 9:30AM (HST)
Today I worked in the storage room for practically 10 hours straight (with breaks here and there). The temp. kid's cage were lined with stacks of three boxes, about six or seven stacks total. The top of the stack had a layer of dust so when I pulled the boxes to break down, waves of dust practically engulfed my face. I was coughing for the first couple hours. After that, the lingering crocs dust (or "storage dust" some may call) began to creep into my lungs and I started to get dizzy. After taking a couple breaks, I felt better. That didn't last long. Our design guy had to spray paint our sign and... well, you get the picture. Not much air circulation, I was feeling light-headed after about twenty minutes.
Overall, I managed quite a bit of work. I set up most of the hooks for the kids' shoes, and stocked about 75% of our product.
I'm going to try and get off early tomorrow and head home. Hopefully I can catch an hour of FFXIV. Saturday is mine, so I'll be able to get on for a complete test, if it's ok with my KyaNyan.
Also, I'm trying a RSS feed blogger app for facebook. Hope it works!
Tomorrow will be our first grand opening! I say first because my manager hinted that we may have a second grand opening with the frills. This will be our kind of... in-store training day.
To sleep!

Farewell Maikeru
Well this is it. Server merger is tomorrow. I have yet to decide my name but here are my best choices:
1) Maikerutaru
2) Maikerurawr
3) Mootaru
4) Michael
My last day on Fairy was lame. I wasn't able to get online when everyone else was online. Oh well. I hope pwnED carries through.
As for WC... Dunno yet. I'm personally shying away from leading (or "leading") again. I'm just not interested in being serious about this game anymore. Everything is changing, and SE is taking away the most important thing to me: my identity. I have an abundance of animosity filling my range of emotions, ergo, focusing on the positive is difficult at this moment. But... watigondo.
Well, farewell for not. My future will be determined in the next few days.

Changes in Life/Blogstyle
First of all, I'm getting ready to say goodbye to Maikeru. It's been a long journey, but I guess losing my name will force me to lose a portion of my image. I will no longer be just "Maikeru." It's going to be sad... I've based so many things these past few years on my name alone. Maikeru was not just my FFXI name. It's my real life alias in which I go by on the internet outside Fairy. My identity is being replaced... and it's a bit hard to swallow.
With that in mind, this blog will also be changed and renamed. Depending on the name I will take in Sylph will determine what this blog will look like. I'm hoping for a smooth transition with Maikerutaru because I actually have a few ideas what I'll do with that name.
Second, I want to become more involved with my media ideas. I will be moving forward with networking all of my activities using this blog as my central hub. Basically I will be finding ways to connect all of my online activities and make this blog a way of keeping it all together. We'll see... it's a bit ambitious, but not impossible.
Third, I will finally start one of my New Year's Resolutions: Post a picture a day. You see how it connects with my second? So basically the stuff I post on facebook will be posted here, etc. etc. Which means, more likely than not, you will see a new post nearly every day. Exciting, no?
Fourth, I'm trying to build my music library. So maybe... I will post my library. o_O Then you can help me build it?! Idea!
Well, that's all for today. The pictures will start coming in tomorrow, along with a song of the day that I download. The other stuff will be post-merge of the servers.

Looking Back at 2009 (Part II)
First of all, thank you Brig for your kind words.
2009 was full of firsts, and more seconds. Looking back at my personality from the beginning of this past year and now, I can say I've gotten a little bit more assertive. A little bit more sure of myself. But only a little. I'm yet to reach douchebag status, but I'm working hard!
Kindness seems to get the best of me. It's a trait that is ingrained in my lifestyle. I aim to please. This past year has shown me the up and down of this part of me. To sacrifice is to love. To sacrifice what is not yours to give is foolish. I need to understand where to draw the line. This is something that will probably take months to learn, and years to focus, but a there is no better time to start than now.
I've made many decisions. Most were decent. Some were great! But far too many were terrible. So many regrets manifested this past year that I wonder how many seconds have been shaved off my life just from sheer depression and anxiety. And yet, I can say it wasn't a bad year. In fact, I can say it was a pretty damn good year.
Oh, and my beloved iPhone. Thank you my bedside reindeer. I am very grateful.
And the core of this post...
2009 brought out the decision for me to quit FFXI. I decided to live my life.
2010 has brought me recognition. FFXI wasn't the problem. It was my obsession and lack of discipline.
Therefore, I am back. But this time, it will be for myself. As selfish as it sounds, it really is the only way I can play FFXI and not let it interfere with my life. My time as an elitist player is over. The path of the relic is no more for me. Farewell endgame events. I miss you, but not that much.
My friends, I hope you will forgive me for my absence. I will still not see many of you, but I hope my ghost of an existence is enough.
I have moved on.

Looking Back at 2009 (Part I)
It makes me feel lost. I think about the time I spent playing FFXI, and I think about the time that I spent on my music.
I've lost both.
Where do I go from here? I start school in January. I'm up for a manager position at Crocs. But where does this lead me to? Will this lead me to somewhere I want to be? Somewhere I have to be?
Will I be happy in the long run? Does this even matter?
I've been playing Dragonica to fill in the hole in my heart. I don't miss the events of FFXI anymore. I miss the gameplay a little bit (afk exp ftw). What I miss the most are my friends.
I do have more time now to concentrate on life. But what of it? I'm still pretty much stuck in the same place I have always been. Hopefully school will push me through a little bit. I'm not sure it will.
I'm in need of a life-changing event. I need a new direction.
Happy Holidays everyone.

>_<;
Kathryn is in the hospital and it's pretty serious this time around. So if anyone is willing to take my work shifts this week, please let me know. And also, I won't be around for FFXI most likely.
Please keep her in your prayers.

I'm Not Going To Even Bother...
Synopsis of the past three weeks:
(FFXI)
- Dynamis/Salvage/ZNMs as usual
- Lack of Limbus unfortunately wasn't lacking
- ADC jacked our Xarcabard despite a 3-way holding team
- ADC broke up and I jizzed in my pants
- I got Usukane Lv25 Feet and I jizzed in my pants
(IRL)
- I bought a new PSP with Dissidia
- I played Dissidia for a week straight (which is when I stopped posting... hmm... lol)
- I lost interest in Dissidia because Shantotto wasn't powerful enough
- I lost at poker, repeatedly
- I joined my brother's Fantasy Football League
- Took some videos I need to post
- My manager changed stores :(
- The other store's manager is at my store again :3
- My laptop went sad and needed to be reformatted
- My girlfriend got sick and I went sad
- Vacation looks to be canceled
- I'm officially hooked on Monster Hunter Unite Freedom
And now I'm sleepy because I need to redo all my macros and all the settings and download all the crap I used to have...
Good freaking night.

Gamer Grub #1
Kim Chee Saimin with Vienna Sausage ★★☆☆☆
Befitting the stereotype, I cooked saimin noodles (similar to ramen) and added a little spiciness using kim chee. I also added some vienna sausage and kamaboko (fish cake) for a bit of sustenance. Simple and cheap!
Preparation time: N/A
Time to cook: Less than 10 minutes
Shrimp-Flavored Saimin Package: $0.50
Bottle of Kim Chee (6-8 servings): $2.40
Can of Vienna Sausage: $0.90
Block of Kamaboko (5-7 servings) $1.75
Dish Total: ~$2.15
Notes:
While cooking the noodles, add the kim chee a bit before you add the soup base so it has time to cook and spread the flavor. Also add the kamaboko a little early so it can soften up a little.

Up And Down
Where to begin...
Last Wednesday I helped Rrynn get her two of her final spells as a BLU. At the same time, I got to finally explore Beaucedine Glacier [S] and Xarcabard [S]. It was pretty fun! If painful = fun, then it was lots of fun!

These guys are super grumpy. AoE/Conal moves that take multiple or all shadows. Not to mention they hit freaking hard, can terrorize you, and strip you naked. Yes, they're perverts like Yagudos.
Again very grumpy. They weren't as bad as the Ruszors, but they link like crazy. It's sight link, but they can link from over 25' away. Evil evil thingys. They can also terrorize.
I got lucky this week. Sanraku wanted Wamouras, and so I got him Wamouras. 99 zeni each! So I got a total of... 120 pictures (60 each character)... that's around 5k zeni each... Then I went and killed Brass Borer 4x solo. Not so difficult, just boring. This is after the BLU hunting, so I was pretty damn tired. I got a quick nap and moved onto ZNMs.
Margulis decided to kill me. Well, he was charmed, so I don't blame him. But the other BLMs took vengence into their own hands. Good job guys!
After four Dahaks, we went to Dynamis-Qufim.

Grats! It only took you a couple years. ;)
During the run, PUP Cape dropped and Vegetto won. He just recently leveled it. Toth, who has been fighting for it for a while, and was the first PUP pretty much on Fairy server, lost the lot. He also lost his control and vocalized what he considered was... how do I put this into words... unfair?... it was for him not to have priority whilst using pretty vulgar language. Not only was this insulting to Vegetto (who didn't care anyway), he disrespected the entire Linkshell by exclaiming how he wasn't protected. Well Toth, too bad for you. We have rules that you accepted upon applying for membership and we followed through. I'm really sorry buddy, but I hope you have better luck in the future. I'll miss your long AFKs on Sundays most definitely.
Onto real life!
Today I found out I got a raise at work. A very nice 15%! I also got a bonus check! But I lost my bonus check at poker. Not too shabby.
Anyway, it's almost 5:30AM and I have work in 7 hours. So I should get some nap time. Bai!

Karma Payback
This is from Monday, I forgot to post it. We failed to pop NM at the higher floor. But we got to play as frogs!
So anyway, that bad day turned around and I had damn good luck. All my lots were 900+ in Dynamis-Beaucedine for a while and people were starting to think I stole Homero's lot bot (joke).
(picture turned out better than I expected)
Inventory +10! Wewt!
The Etoile Tights gives me a full amount of 21% haste in TP gear. Thank goodness for inert DNC accuracy!
Mia being random. <_<;
Tonight I played poker at my friend's house. I actually won! I won't put an actual amount, but let's just say I'm about even in my winnings and losses now. So good for me!
Anyway, I might be online tomorrow but there's a poker tournament I'm invited to. So... I don't know. Depends on my friend if she's going or not. And also whether I have permission. ^_^
Good night!

Happy Birfday to me!
Much love to my girlfriend Kya (right) for the lovely iPhone 3GS. I no longer have to buy a video camera to cover our nightly romps.
Poker games. Not the dirty stuff. You pervert.
That stuff stays off camera.
Poker games. Not the dirty stuff. You pervert.
That stuff stays off camera.
This is my nephew and one of my best friend's daughter. It would be so cool if they ended up as friends in the future. Not like I'm trying to hook them up or anything. XD
The camera quality is decent. I had to photoshop and smooth out these two pics. But it's way better than my blackberry camera, and much easier than buying a new camera. I might have to find a flash app though.
I took this entire week off for my birthday. On Sunday, Kya's family decided to party and make some BBQ. Lots of fun! Kya likes the Loaded Corona Light w/Lime. ^^
On Monday, the girls took me out to The Counter, arguably the best burger restaurant on the island. People will argue for Burgers on the Edge... but I doubt they'll step up to it. I have to go and try for myself. Kya gave me the iPhone, and Nikki got me a new memory stick and Patapon 2 for my PSP. Beck bought me a cover for my iPhone.
After The Counter, we watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was... ok. Great considering the story and what they had to condense.
After that we went to Max's Restaurant in Waipahu. It's a traditional Filipino restaurant that is famous for its chicken. Personally, I don't like going there because I'm not a big fan of Filipino food. My mom caught the drift and ordered decent food that wasn't completely traditional. Good call mom! My friends had fun!
On Friday I get to have Poker. I can't wait. :D
The new AMK (A Moogle Kupo d'Etat) expansion is out! It came out last week, but I gave it a week for information on missions to come out. I learned from ACP that going off on half-baked rumors and strategies makes it stressful experience. So I decided to wait this time. So far, the story seems interesting. It's very cute, and at the same time, very very creepy. I'll post pictures later.
This is probably the best birthday I've ever had excluding my 18th birthday/grad party. That was awesome in a different way. But this tops everything else by a long shot.
Off to farm Zeni.

Crazy Weekend
Well, not totally bad. It has been crazy since Thursday. It's kinda like this...
Wednesday: Slept late and overslept. I got to work about 3 hours late. Went home and stayed up all night because my friend was over. Cleaning. <_<; Don't ask.
4 hours of sleep
Thursday: I got about 4 hours of sleep and went to ZNMs. Electricity went out so I made a mad dash to Starbucks. After searching for an hour, I finally found a seat. I got to Dynamis about 40 min late. Good run with low numbers. Did Salvage. Logged off. (This was the last time I was on my character) I tried to sleep as early as I could, which was about 2AM.
4 hours of sleep
Friday: Woke up early for work. It was a pretty decent day. After work went to Walmart then went to my mom's house. I forgot my keys so I went to Starbucks to chill. I also visited a friend. My co-worker, for some reason, ended up near me. She lives near work, but she caught the wrong bus and ended up in another district of the island. Luckily it was my town. I picked her up and brought her home. The hooker count tonight on her street was seven. Drove all the way back to my mom's house and tried to get a nap, but my nephew kept me up.
30 minutes of sleep
Saturday. Woke up at 1:45 AM. Got my stuff together (for some reason, I forgot my shorts at my mom's house. I don't know how it happened) and drove to Ala Moana Beach Park. We double-parked in front of the bus stop at the center of Ala Moana Shopping Center and Ala Moana Beach Park. I got out of my brother's car which I was in and got into my uncle's car as he and my cousin went to go search for a camp spot. Eventually the police came by and told us to move. We parked on the other side of the mall in front of Nordstrum's cafe. At 3:45 AM, we started our cars and put ourselves into traffic. The parking gates to the beach park opened at 4:00 AM. We got in at 4:10. We immediately found decent parking. 4:25, the gates are closed. Parking lot was full.
We started setting up camp. My uncle brough his tent which had a canopy extension. My brother-in-law brought two tents. After setting up, me, my brother, and my cousin went to the mall at Ala Moana. I brought my laptop so my brother could go on facebook. He's an addict. After that, we went to McDonald's for breakfast and went back to camp. I took a nap.
2 hours of sleep
I woke up and went to work. I was wearing jeans. Luckily, my manager was cool about it and said it was ok. It was the longest day of work in my life. It was a very VERY busy day in the mall. It being 4th of July and everything. But our kiosk had very little customers. I was already tired out, but I did my best. I had the energy Vitamin Water before I set up camp. I had a power size Coldbuster with a energy boost Jamba Juice for lunch. Then I had a 5-hour Energy Drink at like 4:00PM. By the time it hit 7PM, I was completely drained. But it's ok! My girlfriend and friends came to pick me up and we walked across the street to camp. The rest of my family was there, and we had a nice BBQ dinner.
Fireworks. They were beautiful.
Got home and went to sleep.
10 hours of sleep
Feeling very refreshed, I tried to log on to FFXI. Incorrect Password. I tried again. And again. Then I tried Kya's account. Same thing. Then I tried Nynja's account and I got in. There was something wrong here... I went to ffxiah and scanned my character. All of my items were still equipped. I don't think RMT would leave a Hagun alone, so I don't think my account was compromised. Then I tried to log into the security token website. One-time password is incorrect. MEH! The one thing that's supposed to protect my account is preventing me from getting in. Wow. Well... These are the possible things that could be happening:
1) I got hacked and my password was changed, but they couldn't get in because of my security token. The token is doing its job. However, I wasn't able to log into the security token website? Hmm.
2) I didn't get hack and my token screwed up somehow and is giving me the wrong numbers. Most likely reason.
3) I'm being super super crazy and I'm retyping my passwords incorrectly. Highly unlikely after 10 hours of sleep.
So ya... I'm stuck today. But my internet is too slow for me to play WolfTeam. I think I'm just going to nap all day and try to regain those lost hours.

Blah!
I'm writing this post as I'm waiting for this Antican Auxiliarius to use Magnetite Cloud... lol 0/2 so far. Ope! Speaking of the devil! He used it! Let me Bludgeon him to death.... ok 0/3. Continuing on...
I have so many things on my "To Do List" that it's driving me insane! Urgh! These are my goals for this month.
[Real Goals]
- Find a new way to make Kathryn smile everyday.
- Go to 24 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
- Clean the room daily.
- Add at least one song to my Zune everyday.
- Save $100/paycheck (or $200/month) for Las Vegas.
***Interruption: YAY! 1/4 Magnetite Cloud! Off to get... hmm... Filmamented Hold and Cold Wave look easy enough...***
(cont.)
- Get a Mother's Day present before Mother's Day.
Yesterday's word: TORMENT

Zzz...
Sleep deprivation is a dangerous thing. Not only does it make you a very angry and cynical person, but it also makes you feel a little less than yourself. Not in the way that you feel miserable. No, that's assumed. But it's like you missed out on something that you may never get a chance to redeem.
It also makes you blather on about things with very little connection.
But anyway! Last night was an all-niter for me and FFXI. I got to sleep around 5AM, and woke at about 7:30AM to do laundry stuff. Breakfast was good though! Can't beat good bacon and eggs. After laundry, did more FFXI stuff. I took the bus home from Manoa. I forgot how slow the #6 goes. It took me over an hour just to get to downtown where I transferred to the B and met Kathryn at Walgreens. I needed a little pick-me-up so I got some doughnuts and orange juice. Kathryn's parents got us some mexican food (Carne Asada 4 Life!). Kathryn spent the entire day cleaning the room. I felt a little shafted because I lost some hanger space, but oh well. Life moves on. I'll find some way to hang my clothes that will irritate my girlfriend. ^.^
