Treasure Coffer (Tenshodo)

Crimson Key
Wolf Mantle - Attack +0-4
Utsusemi: Ni

Mantle would be worth it because there are no other attack pieces for that level. And of course Utsusemi always fetches a pretty penny.

Viridian Key
Nothing much. There's a bunch of stuff that's almost awesome, like the Corsette with +Haste for those without a Swift Belt. But these are at the level where better gear is fast approaching and it's not really worth the effort.

Amber Key
Brocade Obi - Enhancing magic skill +0-3

For maxing out skill for certain spells.

Azure Key
Beak Mantle - Accuracy +0-6
Coeurl Gorget - Accuracy +0-8 / Ranged Accuracy +0-8
Rainbow Obi - hMP+0-5 / INT+0-5 / MND+0-5 / CHR+0-5

Freaking wow! The Mantle is pretty good in certain setups, although Amemet Mantle +1 is only around the corner. The gorget is amazing if you can't afford Spectacles or a Peacock Charm. The highlight of this is the Rainbow Obi. The INT/MND (if you hit +5) is an instant free replacement for Penitent's Rope. The CHR is so-so. The most amazing thing is the hMP. If you hit +4 or +5, it's the best resting piece for that slot in the game. Totally worth getting. You need to obtain the seed afterglows to get this key item, which is just walking around really.

Ivory Key
Angel's Earring - Enmity -0-2
Death Earring - Enmity +0-2
Diamond Earring - Magic Attack Bonus +0-2
Ruby Earring - Attack +0-5 / Ranged Attack +0-5 / STR +0-2
Sapphire Earring - Magic Accuracy +0-2 / MND +0-2

These are all great if you get the max numbers, and are easy replacements for their HQ (non-Aug) counterparts. However, you do need to defeat the BCNM to get this key.

Ebon Key
Angel's Ring - Accuracy +6
Death Ring - MP+19
Diamond Ring - INT+1 MP+9
Emerald Ring - STR +2 VIT +3
Ruby Ring - HP +8 STR+1 DEX+1 / STR +1 / HP +5 DEX+2 INT +1
Sapphire Ring - MP +6 STR +3 CHR +1 / MP +10 MND +1 STR-1
Spinel Ring - DEX +1 AGI +1
Topaz Ring - DEX+1 VIT+1 INT+3

These are all amazing and are replacements for Lv.74 rings. However, it is the final BCNM fight... It's not the fight that's the problem, it's the climb up to get into the fight (collecting afterglows) that's not totally worth it at all.

Conclusion:
In some aspects, a lot of this gear are priceless. In the end, I wouldn't mind doing the Fei'Yin keys. They aren't too bad. Otherwise, the rest are just not worth the trouble.

If I'm sadistic enough, I may go for the final key.

Lost Seven Hours Of Sleep...

...but totally worth it.

Ding! 75PLD! Wooo!

I finally get to put the gear I've collected over the past couple months to the test! I dusted the Askar Zucchetto off as I took it out of storage. I now have a job it will be useful on! Oh sure, it was useful on my SAM, but my 20% haste setup is difficult to give up and that Walahra Turban still remains standard. But man Homam looks good, and I get to finally use my Nuevo! It's going to be an awesome week playing in Campaign and skilling up. Over the next couple days I will work on unlocking Atonement, then working on a buffer (most likely maxing). But for now, goodnight! I have to wake up in 45 minutes... lol... ;_;

Zzz...

Sleep deprivation is a dangerous thing. Not only does it make you a very angry and cynical person, but it also makes you feel a little less than yourself. Not in the way that you feel miserable. No, that's assumed. But it's like you missed out on something that you may never get a chance to redeem.

It also makes you blather on about things with very little connection.

But anyway! Last night was an all-niter for me and FFXI. I got to sleep around 5AM, and woke at about 7:30AM to do laundry stuff. Breakfast was good though! Can't beat good bacon and eggs. After laundry, did more FFXI stuff. I took the bus home from Manoa. I forgot how slow the #6 goes. It took me over an hour just to get to downtown where I transferred to the B and met Kathryn at Walgreens. I needed a little pick-me-up so I got some doughnuts and orange juice. Kathryn's parents got us some mexican food (Carne Asada 4 Life!). Kathryn spent the entire day cleaning the room. I felt a little shafted because I lost some hanger space, but oh well. Life moves on. I'll find some way to hang my clothes that will irritate my girlfriend. ^.^

A Crystalline Prophecy

This was released this past Thursday. Some people finished it within 24 hours. SE estimated two weeks for "hardcore players" and a month for your average player. Man were they wrong. There was a problem with the first mission after an emergency update, so I could not move further than that until last night. I zerged through the missions to the first BCNM fight. I woke up this morning and got a pick up party for the fight and won. Then I went with that same party for the climb and final BCNM, which we loss miserably. Later, I repeated the climb and fight with the Malloreon group and we won!

This will be awesome for my PLD once I get to that level.

That's it for today. It's been an anticlimactic afternoon with some sour attitudes. Oh well.

I've been kind of overwhelmed these past two weeks. Hence, the lack of updates. But uh... let's see...
