Lots of busy stuff!
I really shouldn't procrastinate about updating this blog. So much happens in the span of few days that my entry will turn out to be too long! Oh well~
---Sunday---
Ah the morning begins as a mandragora and balut play with a worm... But anyway, Limbus. Time for Ultima!
It actually went pretty well! Deaths were a lot less than usual. Margulis and Clave tanked great! Good job guys! Also we had 3 SAMs, so we were spamming skillchains and magic bursting. It goes to show that old school SC+MB still does a heck a lot of damage, and should never be overlooked.
And the results:
Yay! I got the winning lot for the Cerebrum. After some D2s for the melee, I headed to Rabao.
Me and Psychosteveo celebrate!
We went to Dynamis-Beaucedine. Not much to talk about... I went afk at the beginning for about 20 minutes because the plastic holding the water from the leaky roof started to fall apart and I had to fix it. Here are the results:
Grats Rewt! There were some other drops Xorn missed, like Damien with BLU and someone else with COR. I wish I was there when the first MNK dropped so I could have lot. Darn I need it to store the set. >_<
~~~Monday~~~
Nyzul as usual. We did 4 runs today. We got mauled with shitty floors. It was unbelievable. We managed to defeat the first three runs by some miracle, but got absolutely no drops. Nyzul doesn't want me to have my Denali Bonnet. =(
I spent the rest of the evening leveling PLD. I got it to 67 and then did some campaign. I woke up this morning (Tuesday) to do more campaign and hit 68. Only a couple more levels before Joyeuse so I can earn more AN! This is a really crappy situation because I need about 140k more AN before I can exp on PLD seriously. ;_; Darn you I.R. awesomeness!
I've already decided that my next job to level to 75 will be BLU. Damn you Faeryl! But I guess it makes sense. I stopped leveling BLU 2 years ago because I refused to be a gimp BLU w/o sea. Now that I have sea, I can resume.
Oh it will be glorious...
Time for work! Adios and Aloha!
New Weapons To Play With!
Kinda tired after a long day~
It started with ZNMs. Armed Gears was extra pissy with us. The first one wasn't so bad, but the second one decided to spam Rail Cannon and Artifical Gravity back to back. Margulis eventually died from being unable to throw up shadows and we had to kite it while Demenic switched to PLD. Clave did most of the kiting, which I'm entirely grateful for. Taru BLMs don't make great tanks.
Results:
Best weapon for SAM Penta Thrust!
To Dynamis!
Once again, our Bastok got jacked. I think it was the same Linkshell as last week, but I'm not totally sure on that. So instead we went to San d'Oria. Fataru decided to come with us. I'm sure he had fun. We also managed to completely clear the city.
After that, after much nudging and... well... coercing, I bought some expensive stuff off the Auction House, got it crafted, and ran to Castle Zvahl Baileys. The Quest for Amanomurakumo begins!
Visiting Dad
I lost my dad three years ago to cancer. It's still sad knowing he died at a very young age, but I've grown to accept that death is a part of life.
So let's put that aside. This post is not about my dad.
Three years have passed. THREE YEARS. And where am I? I'm still in the same place! A college dropout, working for a living, and still 70lbs overweight. Argh!
Visiting dad today wasn't a totally sad thing (like last year or the year before). But it was definitely a reality check. I need to get going. My life is being wasted before my eyes. I have dreams that I want to make a reality: graduate from college, start a career, raise a family. That good old American dream.
Are you living your life the way you envisioned it to be?
Thought About Tables At Cafes...
So like... here's a random thought...
Get like 10 of your friends. Maybe 15 depending on the starbucks/cafe you go to. And also assuming it's a popular location. With your friends, each person takes a seat, completely taking all the tables, especially the big ones and the ones near electric outlets.
If you're like me, I hate people who, single-handedly, take up an entire table of 4-6 chairs by themselves. It's selfish and wrong. And I also hate it when I show up to a cafe EARLY only to find all the outlets taken.
There are people who go to these cafes daily. They just sit down, get on their laptop, and do their thing ALL DAY EVERY DAY. I don't hate these people. I just hate the fact that they grow very protective of a table that is 1) not theirs, and 2) open to everyone, not just themselves. So let's take a shot back at them!
So anyway, back to the plan. Get all your friends, show up and crowd the entrance before opening, and take the seats. When the regulars come in, they may ask to "share the table/outlet." Now what if... what if...
You say, "Sure... for 10 bucks." They'll get pissed off, etc etc. And then they might look for another table... where your friend is at... who will ask the same thing. Now let's say the regular tells the manager. You say, "Oh I'm waiting for my friends. We have a study group coming, they're meeting me here in about 15 minutes. We're taking the entire table." The manager can't really argue. I mean, just like the regular, you're a paying customer, taking a table... just like what the regular would do anyway.
Besides, managers thing groups > single patrons anyway.
The regular will get pissed and leave, only because they want to do their thing as early as possible for the entire day.
Now do this for an entire week... oh! Imagine the anguish! Mwahahaha sweet revenge is sweet!
I mean... the worst thing that could happen is if the regular gives in and pays you $10. XD
Fired up!
My first RL post! Hehe...
Today I signed up for 24HourFitness. This isn't my first time, so I know what to expect. I'm actually feeling really good about getting back into a routine of exercising. I know the machines and I know how to use them. What I'm looking forward to the most is being able to run again. I haven't been able to since I moved to Kalihi (except that one time at Kapiolani Park, which I won't do again until I have more stamina). This is going to be awesome!
My biggest concern is my giant backpack (laptop) being able to fit into those lockers. I have to find one of those bigger lockers. Which reminds me! I need to buy a padlock tonight. I should go to Walmart and buy some workout pants and another sweatshirt. Ah damn... and sneakers. My feet got fatter (damn you Crocs! Pancake effect!) so I need to find sneakers I can actually wear.
My schedule for this week:
Sunday: Limbus > Dynamis > Family Dinner
Monday: 24 > Nyzul (cancelled) > Work 5:00
Tuesday: 24 > Work 1:00
Wednesday: 24 > Work 1:00
Thursday: 24 > ZNM > Dynamis
Friday: Nyzul > Work 5:00
Saturday: 24 > Work 2:00
This week will be mostly cardio for 24. I need to rebuild my stamina and endurance. I will probably do light weights and abs on alternating days... but no serious stuff yet. Need to lose that water weight!
If I feel up to it next week or the week after, I'll start doing my old schedule of alternating days of arms/chest and upper body/legs, and cardio and abs every day.
Man I remember when I was able to run 5 miles everyday... Yea, let's build that stamina first. I can barely jog a mile at my current state.
