Thought About Tables At Cafes...

So like... here's a random thought...

Get like 10 of your friends. Maybe 15 depending on the starbucks/cafe you go to. And also assuming it's a popular location. With your friends, each person takes a seat, completely taking all the tables, especially the big ones and the ones near electric outlets.

If you're like me, I hate people who, single-handedly, take up an entire table of 4-6 chairs by themselves. It's selfish and wrong. And I also hate it when I show up to a cafe EARLY only to find all the outlets taken.

There are people who go to these cafes daily. They just sit down, get on their laptop, and do their thing ALL DAY EVERY DAY. I don't hate these people. I just hate the fact that they grow very protective of a table that is 1) not theirs, and 2) open to everyone, not just themselves. So let's take a shot back at them!

So anyway, back to the plan. Get all your friends, show up and crowd the entrance before opening, and take the seats. When the regulars come in, they may ask to "share the table/outlet." Now what if... what if...

You say, "Sure... for 10 bucks." They'll get pissed off, etc etc. And then they might look for another table... where your friend is at... who will ask the same thing. Now let's say the regular tells the manager. You say, "Oh I'm waiting for my friends. We have a study group coming, they're meeting me here in about 15 minutes. We're taking the entire table." The manager can't really argue. I mean, just like the regular, you're a paying customer, taking a table... just like what the regular would do anyway.

Besides, managers thing groups > single patrons anyway.

The regular will get pissed and leave, only because they want to do their thing as early as possible for the entire day.

Now do this for an entire week... oh! Imagine the anguish! Mwahahaha sweet revenge is sweet!

I mean... the worst thing that could happen is if the regular gives in and pays you $10. XD

  2. that's expensive to use an outlet at a cafe. but wouldn't you get kicked out if that person tells the manager your soliciting? iunno i'll prolly just look else where too just to use the plug for free.
